Houndslake Country Club Ladies
9-Hole Golf Association
The name of this group shall be Houndslake Country Club Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association (HCCLNHGA).
This group has been formed to promote fellowship among its members and encourage beginners as well as seasoned golfers to join and participate in the game of golf.
Members of this group are to be members of Houndslake Country Club who remain in good standing through regular payment of dues. Any member with association dues paid up to date shall be in good standing and entitled to vote on all general membership matters and participate in all association events.
The officers will consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary/Publicity and Treasurer. Officers will be elected by the membership for two year terms. See the Job Descriptions section for details. The election of officers shall be held biannually at the end of season meeting in May. At least one month in advance of this meeting, the president shall appoint a nominating chair who will create a committee. This committee shall prepare a slate of at least one candidate for each office. In addition nominations may be made from the floor. Voting will be done by a show of hands or through email. Term of office is effective with the May election and shall be for two years.
The standing committees will consist of Tournaments, Interclub Events, Social, Member/Guest and Sunshine. The standing committee chairs will be appointed by the president for two year terms. See the Job Descriptions section for details.
Officers, together with the standing committee chairs, and the immediate past president shall comprise the Executive Board. The board shall manage and transact the daily business of the group, making recommendations to association members as well as setting dates for various golf and social events. It shall strive to keep the group an active organization through regular management of association affairs.
The association will regularly meet 3 times a year—once in September to kick off the season, once in January for a mid-season meeting and once in May to close the season and award prizes. Other association meetings will be on an as needed basis.
Amending the Bylaws or Rules
The bylaws or rules may be amended by the association membership using the following procedure:
- Any proposed change must be read and discussed at an association meeting or presented to the membership via email.
- There must be a minimum of one month between the time a change is proposed and voted on by the membership.
- For a proposed change to be adopted, two thirds of those voting must vote in favor of the proposed change.
- For a vote to be valid, a minimum of a quorum of one half of the total membership must be established.
- Email voting is allowed.
Annual dues shall be$25.00, payable between May and August. Dues may be changed in accordance with Article VIII.
Approval of Expenditures
The association treasurer shall prepare a budget annually subject to approval by the membership at the season opener meeting in September. Requests for out of budget expenditures require the approval of a simple majority of the executive board.

- Association member dues must be paid
- Each participant must have an established handicap.
- On tournament days there will be a draw.
- Mulligans are not allowed unless specified by the tournament organizer.
- Gimmies are not allowed.
Association members are required to adhere to the association rules and the Houndslake Country Club course rules.
